Why are we Doing This?
The Town of Grande Cache has developed a 20/20 Vision, which is intended to articulate our desire to find a balance between being a premier mountain tourism destination and a thriving, stable resource based economy. This plan has been developed to clearly set out goals and vision as we work together to create vibrant neighborhoods, and strive for excellence in all aspects of municipal government.
Recognizing that there are time constraints to implement fundamental societal change, Grande Cache aspires to be at the forefront of change, striving to achieve a level of excellence and meeting our strategic vision for the future in order to create a healthy and sustainable community. We are determined to develop our community’s capacity to respond to our local challenges and opportunities, by building partnerships and integrating social, economic, and human development.
What are we doing?
The Town of Grande Cache has created a long-term Community Beautification & Revitalization Plan to increase and support Economic Growth & Community Capacity, Quality of Life, and Infrastructure in our community.
With the Town’s goals of diversifying our economy to a stronger balance between tourism and industry, community beautification is crucial. Revitalizing our community will not only assist in retaining our current businesses, but will also assist in attracting and developing new businesses and investors into the community.
This project would look at beautifying our highway approach and revitalizing our downtown core, creating an environment for businesses to flourish. This beautification and revitalization project will also focus on additional green-spaces, parks, trails, and walkways throughout the community.
Grande Cache is striving to become an environmentally friendly community, by creating more trails and walkways, and planting more trees in the community. It is important to the Town that we become environmental leaders, and we encourage local businesses and corporations to participate in our journey.
