Lived in GC in the late 1970,s and attended Sheldon Coates Elementary when it was a brand new school. Still remember my favorite teacher of all time Mr Abraham(grade 5 I think). My family and I lived in 5 different homes while we lived there! My father was superintendant of schools(Ron Smith) at the time and my Mom(Pat Smith) worked for Vic Bland at the Super A store. Looking forward to visiting Grande Cache this weekend as we make our way to a wedding in Grande Prarie. Will take many pictures to bring back and show my folks!! Love the website.

I truly love GC, I have many family members there (Auntie Boo (Velma Rowe), Aunt Leslie, etc) whom are among some of the 1st families to settle in town; I spent many summers there, riding the horses, going to the dump to see the bears, made many friends who of course have all gone different directions, (Big George, Minnie, Raymond, Chuck, Dan McNeil, Raymond Jenkins, Cathy B, Shep) if anyone has contact with any of these people, please say a Hello from Lamie and Bump’s Granddaugther, Cindy) and feel free to send me a email; loulou@start.ca
