Deptartment of Wellness & Recreation: Family & Community Support Services
The department of Wellness provides preventative and early intervention programs and services that enhance the well-being of individuals, families, and community. Current programs offered through Grande Cache Department of Wellness & Recreation include:
- Grief & Loss Support
- Newcomer Information Centre
- Family Relief Program
- Voices Through Circles Anti-Bullying Program
Other Services:
- Information and Referrals
- Community Resource Library
- Taxi Ticket Disbursement (October – April) for seniors 60+, physically and/or mentally challenged community members
- Assistance with filling out forms (Provincial/Federal)
- Meals on Wheels Referral
- Community Liaison to facilitate the process of identifying community needs and issues and in conjunction with service providers and community determine strategies to fill the identified gap areas
